ODE TO MOMS

A hilarious utube take off on pimp my ride especially for moms with kids

Don’t laugh yourself silly :))

Just so you know I inserted the link to this and Windows live inserted (embedded?) the video itself in like 2 seconds.  I love Windows Live.

A TEXAS VACATION

It doesn’t get any better than spending time with family and what better place to find family than the great state of Texas.  I was finally able to get  over there  to see my newest “grand”, Charlotte Kate ‘aka’ Charley Kate and she’s a real Texas cutie.

As usual, I didn’t get my camera out and take lots of pictures so three of the above are “borrowed” but it’s the thought that counts and besides I had games to play and stories to read.

The weather was pretty hot but Suz and I played catch one day and I even managed to catch some of her pitches.  The kids always like to play Red Light Green Light  and then they had to show me all the tricks they can do on the swing set too.  I don’t see how they have the energy in all the heat.  I’m just watching and it wears me out!!:)

Inside we got to color and play Go Fish.  We read books and watched a couple of fun movies and somewhere in there I held the baby too.  She really is a sweetie.  She likes to rock and cuddle and seems to be really laid back like her daddy.  Course when you are the fourth child you survive much better when you are laid back so I’d say she’s smart too.

We had lots of good food and ate out once – the kids were sooo good.  Thanks to YaYa and Pops for offering to keep the kids for awhile so Stace and I could visit two fabric stores and a kitchen specialty shop.  Where’s a million dollars when you really need it??

Here are some pics from Sunday when Billy was getting the few cuccumbers that were available in the garden and the kids were eating the okra and tomatoes.  (I got to share in the cuccs and tomatoes – deeeelicious.)  There is also some playing happening and cricket chasing and can you find the watermelon in the garden?

Monday morning came all to soon and it was time to head back to Cleveland.  I left around nine, got to Cleveland about 2:30.  Met the coffee girls at McDonalds and visited for a little bit and then got Toby from the dog sitter and came on to NashVegas.  It was a long day but I was pretty pumped and didn’t get the least bit sleepy – in fact, it was after one when I finally went to bed.  And speaking of that, it’s almost midnight and I am tired tonight.  Guess I’ll publish this and hit the sack.

NEWS FLASH

This will be short and sweet as I'm on my way to bed. The realtor called today and said the sellers were wondering if I would be willing to close on the house Wednesday rather than Friday. Of course I adamantly refused ......NOT!!

FUN IS BEING A GRAMS

I have more pics from my trip to share but I’m too lazy to dig my camera out of my suitcase right now so this is a no pics post.

Right now I’m sitting next to the sweetest bundle of wiggles and grunts  -- he’s supposed to be in his bed but I can’t fit in there with him so the couch it is while mom and dad are at the new Harry Potter.  Kate’s asleep and Vail is not but she is staying on her bed.  Brian has gone to get one of those new Sonic chiller things for us to try out and Micah and I are on the couch.  I’m listening to him and the dogs breathe.  It’s nice and quiet.

Tomorrow I leave for the old hometown to spend the weekend and while there get a massage (can’t wait) and a haircut.  I won’t have internet access at the “Grandmother Inn” but I know the hospitality will be awesome.

Wednesday I’ll head to TX to see my other new Grand – can’t wait for that either.   Sometime the next mon I’ll end up back here and finish getting all the details settled to be ready for the closing on the 31st.   Some way or another I’ll be spending that first night in the new place (as long as the electricity is on and the air works:)) – I can’t get to the mattresses in the storage place but I’m planning on getting one of those blow up things anyway so that may be a good time to do it.   I’m pretty excited and really looking forward to being in my own place.  I’ve discovered that the nomadic life is not me.  I do however enjoy being with all my relatives – i’d just rather do it at my place :))

On another exciting note, Brian submitted an application to be able to sign a lease on a one bedroom apartment here in Franklin.  We all showed up (at his invite) to look the place over and the vote was unanimous to go for it.  It’s really nice.  Has a small kitchen with a closet pantry, a decent living room with a wood burning fireplace, a nice size bathroom with a linen closet, a bedroom with a walk in closet, and a screened in balcony that has a storage room.  There is also a stacked washer and dryer.  The one we saw was upstairs but his will be ground level.  There is a gym and 3 swimming pools.  The area is really nice.  AND it is very close to his job.

Well, I guess that’s all the news I have right now – all Ican think of anyway.  Have  I mentioned I can’t wait to get  my sewing machine out and do some sewing.

Night all

LIFE IN THE COUNTRY

I’m in PA visiting with my mom. The weather here is FABULOUS. No HEAT, no HUMIDITY, just naturally cooled fresh air. Toby is in dog heaven right now. He can drink pond water any time he wants , bark at the pony to his heart’s content (from the safe side of the fence of course)the smells must be glorious cause his nose is to the ground all the time. And he can run as far and as fast as he wants whenever he feels like it which is generally never more than ten or fifteen feet at one time.

The laundry is out drying and some flowers have been transplanted. We are heading out to visit an Amish country store that was written up in the paper and then go see Auntie Lois. We will stop for lunch somewhere on the way. Here are some photos that I’ve taken since I got here.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN

The girls and I are waiting for Jen and Micah to get back from the Dr. (nothing serious) and then we are meeting Grandmother and Aunt Donna for breakfast after which they will head back to MS and I will finish loading up and head north to visit more family and eventually out west too after the babe arrives.

The house passed inspection with flying colors so everything is a go for the 31st. I'm anxious for that time to arrive and to get in so I can start getting settled.

We visited a church last night that really interested me. The people were VERY friendly - like in Cleveland and I will definitely visit on a Sunday when I get back. The only drawback is the distance. There are a couple closer to where I'll be living that I will visit also just because they are closer.

Hey Johnny and Carol -- I've been thinking about you. Hope your dad is doing much better Give your folks my love. I miss y'all.
